Miromar Outlets is the outlet shopping destination for Estero and all of Southwest Florida. It sits right off Interstate 75 at the Corkscrew Road interchange, which makes it one of the easiest stops in the region for locals, seasonal residents and visitors coming from Fort Myers, Naples, the airport or the beaches. With roughly 100 stores and restaurants, a dining piazza, a bowling and billiards venue, and a long list of family amenities, it is far more than a quick bargain run.

This guide is written from an Estero point of view. It covers how the center started, how it is laid out, what kinds of stores and restaurants you will find, how outlet shopping actually works, the best times to visit, what is nearby and which neighborhoods put you a few minutes from the door. If you are thinking about moving to the area, it also explains how Miromar fits into everyday life along the Corkscrew Road corridor.

The History of Miromar Outlets

The story of Miromar Outlets begins in the mid-1990s, when this stretch of Corkscrew Road was still largely undeveloped land near the new interstate. In 1995, Margaret Miller purchased the property that would become the outlet center, betting that the I-75 interchange would turn into a major crossroads for Southwest Florida. Miromar Development opened the outlets in 1998, years before Estero became an incorporated village and well before much of the surrounding growth arrived.

That bet paid off. Florida Gulf Coast University opened just to the north in 1997, the arena now known as Hertz Arena followed nearby, and residential communities spread east along Corkscrew Road. Miromar Development went on to build Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club, the lakefront community just east of the outlets, and the outlet center grew into the anchor of the Exit 123 area.

Over more than 25 years the center has added stores, upgraded its walkways and dining areas, and expanded beyond shopping. The biggest recent change came in July 2024, when 810 Billiards & Bowling opened as an entertainment anchor, turning Miromar into a place people visit for an evening out and not just a day of shopping.

How Miromar Outlets Is Laid Out

Miromar is an open-air outlet center built around a series of connected walkways. Stores face each other along shaded corridors, so you can walk the entire property without going inside a mall building, and covered sections help with both the summer sun and afternoon rain showers. Parking lots wrap around the outside of the center, so it is easy to park close to the section you plan to visit.

The heart of the property is the Restaurant Piazza, a dining area where many of the restaurants are clustered together. It works as a natural meeting point for families and groups who split up to shop. Because the center is long and spread out, first-time visitors should grab a map from the website or the directory signs and plan a loop so they do not double back.

What Kinds of Stores You Will Find

With roughly 100 tenants, Miromar covers almost every major outlet category. The store mix changes regularly as brands come and go, so always check the official directory before making a special trip for one store. In general, you can expect the following types of shopping.

CategoryWhat to Expect
Designer and premium apparelOutlet stores from well-known fashion labels for men and women, including dresswear, casualwear and workwear
Athletic and outdoorSneakers, activewear, golf and outdoor clothing, which are popular with Southwest Florida’s active retirees and families
Shoes and accessoriesFootwear, handbags, sunglasses, watches, jewelry and leather goods
Kids and familyChildren’s clothing and shoes, plus toys and back-to-school basics
Home and kitchenCookware, tableware, linens and home decor, which are a favorite for people furnishing a new Florida home
Beauty and personal careFragrance, cosmetics and skincare outlets
Specialty and servicesGifts, sweets, and everyday services such as banking and fuel on the property

For people who just moved to Estero, the home and kitchen stores are a real asset. Furnishing a seasonal condo or a new construction home from scratch is expensive, and outlet pricing on cookware, bedding and decor can make a noticeable difference. Our Estero shopping and dining guide covers where to find furniture and larger home items nearby.

How Outlet Shopping Works (and How to Save More)

Outlet centers can offer real savings, but it helps to understand what you are buying. Many brands sell two kinds of merchandise in their outlet stores: overstock and past-season items from their regular stores, and products made specifically for outlets. Both can be good value, but made-for-outlet items may use different materials or construction than full-price versions.

  1. Know the regular price. Check the brand’s full-price website before you go so you can tell a real discount from a normal outlet price.
  2. Read the labels. Outlet-only lines are often marked with a different label or tag. That is not bad, but it helps you compare quality.
  3. Join the center’s shopper program. Outlet centers commonly offer VIP or rewards programs with extra coupons. Check Miromar’s website or guest services for current offers.
  4. Sign up for brand emails. Many outlet stores offer an extra discount at checkout for joining their list.
  5. Ask about return policies. Outlet return rules can be stricter than regular stores, and some items are final sale.
  6. Shop the big sale weekends. Holiday weekends, Black Friday and back-to-school season usually bring the deepest stacked discounts.
  7. Go early. Popular sizes sell out first, especially during snowbird season.

Restaurants and Dining at Miromar Outlets

Dining is a big part of the Miromar experience. You will find sit-down restaurants for a full meal, quick bites for a shopping break, and spots for coffee, sweets or a drink. Many of the restaurants are located around the Restaurant Piazza.

If you want more choices, Coconut Point and the restaurants along US-41 are about 10 minutes west, and our Estero dining guide lists favorites by cuisine.

810 Billiards & Bowling

The newest reason to visit Miromar is 810 Billiards & Bowling, which opened on July 25, 2024 after an investment of more than $5 million. The venue has 18 bowling lanes, 63 arcade games, billiards tables, and a full bar and kitchen. It quickly became a go-to spot for birthday parties, team outings, date nights and rainy summer afternoons.

For Estero families, 810 fills a real gap. Before it opened, the closest bowling and large arcade options meant a longer drive into Fort Myers or Naples. Now you can combine shopping, dinner and an evening of bowling at one stop just off I-75. It is also a smart option for visiting grandchildren and for groups looking for an indoor activity during the heat of summer.

Amenities and Services

Miromar offers more amenities than most outlet centers, which makes it easier for families, visitors and anyone spending most of a day on the property.

Giving Back: The Wrap It Up Program

Miromar Outlets has run a holiday giving program called Wrap It Up for 25 years. Through the program, shoppers and the community have helped provide more than 12,000 gifts to local children and families during the holidays. For many longtime residents, dropping off gifts at Miromar has become part of their holiday tradition, and it is a good example of how the center is woven into the Estero community beyond shopping.

Miromar Outlets vs. Coconut Point

Estero is lucky to have both centers within 10 minutes of each other, and they fill different needs. Miromar is about brand-name discounts, outlet deals and a fun entertainment stop at 810. Coconut Point is a full lifestyle center with a Super Target, Dillard’s, a movie theater, a long list of sit-down restaurants and the Lee Health Coconut Point medical campus nearby. Most Estero residents use Coconut Point for everyday errands and head to Miromar when they want a deal on clothes, shoes or home goods. For a third option, Gulf Coast Town Center a few exits north is where locals go for Costco and Bass Pro Shops.

A Visitor’s Half-Day Plan for Miromar

If you are visiting Southwest Florida and only have a few hours, here is a simple plan that makes the most of a Miromar stop, whether you are coming from the beach, the airport or a spring training game.

  1. Arrive mid-morning. Park near the stores at the top of your list and start with the brands you came for while selection is best.
  2. Break for lunch at the Restaurant Piazza. Pick a sit-down meal or grab something quick and find a shaded table.
  3. Finish with the smaller shops. Use the afternoon to browse accessories, gifts and home goods, and stop for chocolate or coffee.
  4. Stay for the evening. Bowl a few frames at 810, or head 10 minutes west to Coconut Point for dinner and a movie.

Flying out of RSW? Miromar is one of the closest major shopping stops to the airport, so many visitors schedule a final shopping trip on the way to their flight. Leave yourself extra time during peak season, when I-75 and the airport roads get busy.

Shopping for a New Florida Home

A lot of the shoppers at Miromar are people who just bought a home or condo in Southwest Florida. If that is you, a few local lessons can save money and frustration:
