About Cascades at Estero

Cascades at Estero was started by Levitt & Sons in 2002 and finished by Medallion Home beginning in 2009. The 158-acre community is gated with a staffed entry and sits west of I-75 off Estero Parkway, close to Coconut Point and US-41. Every home is a single-family detached home, which is less common for 55+ communities in Southwest Florida, where many offer attached villas.

Cascades is an age-restricted community under the federal Housing for Older Persons Act: at least 80% of occupied homes must have a resident who is 55 or older. Review the association’s rules on occupancy, guests and leasing before you buy.

Cascades at Estero Housing Options

Homes range from about 1,500 to 2,550 sq ft with two to three bedrooms and two-car garages, a size range that fits full-time retirees and seasonal owners alike.

Levitt & Sons and Medallion Home offered plans in three series, the Dynasty, Majestic and Phoenician, ranging from two-bedroom designs to larger three-bedroom plans, some with a den or flex room. Many owners have added private pools, extended lanais and screened enclosures over the years, so two homes with the same floor plan can look and feel very different inside. Ask for the permit history on any additions.

Lake-view homes and homes with private pools generally sell at a premium over interior lots.

Cascades at Estero Builders & Floor Plans

Levitt & Sons built most of the community between 2002 and 2007, and Medallion Home completed the remaining homesites starting in 2009. Floor plans include the Anastasia, Carrington, Aruba, St. Kitts, Montego, Ventana and Las Palmas. Because homes are now 15 to more than 20 years old, updates vary widely: some have new roofs, impact windows and remodeled kitchens, while others are closer to original condition.
